CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina will be in Cheyenne this week for the GOP’S Volunteer of the Year Reception.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/2dZSSiG ) that the former Hewlett-Packard executive is set to speak at the event Thursday, which previously featured then-presidential candidate Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as a speaker.
Fiorina was one of more than a dozen Republican’s fighting for the 2016 presidential nomination that ultimately went to Donald Trump. Though her campaign was unsuccessful, Fiorina has remained active in Republican politics.
State GOP Chairman Matt Micheli says he is excited to have Fiorina at the event and that she is a leader in the Republican Party.
