FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas coach Bret Bielema says linebacker Dre Greenlaw will need 4-6 weeks of recovery after undergoing foot surgery following the No. 22 Razorbacks’ 39-20 loss to No. 1 Alabama.

Bielema initially said after the loss that he thought the 6-foot, 226-pound sophomore would miss the rest of the season, but he now says he spoke too soon about the recovery timetable - leaving open the chance Greenlaw could return later this season.

Greenlaw entered the game against the Crimson Tide as the leading tackler for Arkansas (4-2, 0-2 Southeastern Conference). Even after his injury in the first quarter, he is second on the Razorbacks with 37 tackles from his weakside linebacker position.

Greenlaw led all SEC rookies in tackles last season with 95, earning All-SEC freshman honors.
