WEEKI WACHEE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say they’ve recovered the body of a kayaker who went missing in a Tampa Bay area park.

The Tampa Bay Times (https://goo.gl/B9mZpG ) reports that 44-year-old Stanis Corey Serrette was found dead Tuesday morning.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says Serrette was kayaking in Jenkins Creek Sunday afternoon when he went missing. The craft was found about 500 yards from the Jenkins Creek boat ramp, and the body was found about 100 years from the kayak.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office says the death remains under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.
