Reveling in Donald Trump’s stunning election-night victory, British columnist Katie Hopkins of the Daily Mail took to Twitter to celebrate, with posts including one predicting the New York businessman’s daughter Ivanka would one day sit in the Oval Office.

“Ivanka Trump WILL be the first female president. Get your money on that now. #MAGA,” tweeted Ms. Hopkins Wednesday morning shortly after Mr. Trump was projected by major media outlets to have secured the electoral votes to win the presidency.

Later Wednesday morning, Ms. Hopkins reacted to a the term “whitelash” being popularized by former Obama aide and CNN pundit Van Jones to describe Mr. Trump’s victory.

“This was not a whitelash. This was a backlash against Obama and his failure to achieve anything in 8 yrs in office,” Ms. Hopkins tweeted, linking to her latest Daily Mail column, wordily headlined, “I was right. Trump’s triumph has crushed the lefty luvvies, useless pollsters, multicultural mafia and gender Nazis who refuse to listen to regular people. So, from a Brexiteer, thank you America.

Ms. Hopkins, something of an Ann Coulter-esque firebrand across the pond, famously promised late last year to pack her bags and move to the United States in the event of a Trump victory.

“If Donald Trump wins the race to the White House I’m moving to America. Daring to bare what some people really think. #DonaldTrump” she tweeted Dec. 4, 2015.

While her detractors in the UK may wish she seriously live up to the promise, for her part Ms. Hopkins is having a little fun with it. “Good news team. I have booked my flight. ……to the @RTELateLateShow on Friday,” she tweeted Wednesday morning. “Look forward to seeing you there #MAGA”
