Donald Trump may have a fair number of immigrants voting for him Tuesday, but Brazil-born supermodel Gisele Bundchen will not be one of them.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel denied on her Instagram account that either she or her Super Bowl-winning quarterback husband Tom Brady were casting their votes for the New York real-estate developer, People magazine reported Tuesday.
“Gisele, I heard you and Tom were backing Trump! Is that true??” one fan asked Ms. Bundchen. “NO!” replied the 36-year-old Brazilian beauty.
It’s unclear whether Ms. Bundchen has yet become a naturalized U.S. citizen, which is required for voting in U.S. federal elections.
At a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Monday, Mr. Trump claimed that Mr. Brady had already cast his vote and that it was for Mr. Trump. For his part, Mr. Brady has not directly confirmed that he voted for Mr. Trump, but election officials in Brookline, Massachusetts, confirm that the Patriots quarterback submitted his absentee ballot in person on Monday, the Boston Herald reported Tuesday.
“He was super friendly and took a picture with some of the staff,” a town employee said, the Herald reported. “He was very nice about it.”
Regardless of Mr. Brady’s vote, however, it’s unlikely to make a difference for Mr. Trump’s fortunes in the Bay State, which is expected to go handily for Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
Real Clear Politics’s polling average shows Mrs. Clinton enjoying a nearly 30-point lead on Mr. Trump in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which last voted Republican in a presidential contest in the 1984 Reagan landslide.
