Notes: Jim Furyk is making his first start of the new PGA Tour season. … Chris Stroud has played every year since the tournament began 10 years ago. … Scott Piercy, Peter Malnati and Spencer Levin are playing for the fifth time in as many weeks since the season began. … Keegan Bradley has back-to-back finishes in the top 10 (tie for sixth in Malaysia, tie for seventh in Las Vegas) for the first time since March 2013. … Geoff Ogilvy tied for fourth in Las Vegas, his best finish in two years. He is done for the PGA Tour this year as he heads home for the Australian Open next week. … Three runner-ups at the OHL Classic have yet to win on the PGA Tour - Steve Marino (2008), Levin (2011) and Shawn Stefani (2014). … NCAA champion Aaron Wise and Cameron Smith got into Mexico by finishing in the top 10 last week. … Ryo Ishikawa’s streak of five straight top 10s ended last week in Las Vegas when he missed the cut. … There have been four playoffs in nine previous years of the OHL Classic.

Notes: The tournament has moved from December to November to be part of “The Final Series” in the Race to Dubai. … Henrik Stenson, who never planned to play in Turkey last week, won the Nedbank Challenge in 2008 and was runner-up a year ago. … Masters champion Danny Willett, who won the Nedbank Challenge two years ago, is No. 2 in the Race to Dubai behind Stenson. They have a healthy margin over Rory McIlroy, who is not playing this week. … The tournament dates to 1981 when it was known as the Million Dollar Challenge. Johnny Miller won that year. … Because of the move from December to the Final Series, the Nedbank Challenge is being played twice in the same season. It becomes the sixth European Tour event to have been played twice in one season. … With his runner-up finish last week in Turkey, Chinese rookie Li Haotong has moved to No. 19 in the Race to Dubai.

Notes: The top five players in the standings only have to win to capture the Charles Schwab Cup - Bernhard Langer, Scott McCarron, Colin Mongtomerie, Joe Durant and Miguel Angel Jimenez. … Esteban Toledo earned the 36th and final spot in the field for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, beating out Glen Day by the difference of two shots in the Dominion Charity Classic last week. … John Daly was the only player to average more than 300 yards in driving distance on the PGA Tour Champions. … Only three major champions made the 36-man field - Bernhard Langer (1985, 1994 Masters), Jeff Sluman (1988 PGA Championship) and Tom Lehman (1996 British Open). … Kevin Sutherland earned $1,532,672 without winning a PGA Tour Champions event this year. He is No. 6 in the Schwab Cup standings.

Only three others from the top 25 (Carlota Ciganda, Mi Jung Hur and I.K. Kim) are playing. … Shanshan Feng has not finished worse than fourth since the Evian Championship in September. That includes victories the last two weeks in Japan and Malaysia, and a runner-up finish in Taiwan. … Michelle Wie is playing the Lorena Ochoa Invitational on a sponsor’s exemption. She is No. 111 on the LPGA Tour money list. … Ariya Jutanugarn has a $17,305 lead over Lydia Ko on the money list. The money title will be decided next week in the LPGA Tour’s season finale. … The Thai also has a 14-point lead over Ko for player of the year. … Ko has gone five consecutive tournaments out of the top 10 dating to the Evian Championship. Before that, she had only five tournaments out of the top 10 all year.
