Donald Trump’s 32-year-old son Eric Trump is under fire for tweeting a photo of his completed ballot on Election Day.
“It is an incredible honor to vote for my father! He will do such a great job for the U.S.A.!” Eric Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.
His tweet included a photo showing part of his completed ballot, which he cast in New York.
Under state law, it is a misdemeanor for voters to share their completed ballot with others, punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine, Newsday reported.
Eric Trump has since deleted the tweet, but not before users captured a screenshot and circulated it on social media.
The son of the Republican presidential nominee isn’t the first to be accused of breaking election laws this campaign season. Justin Timberlake made headlines last month after he took a photo of himself at a voting booth in Memphis, Tennessee. Officials declined to investigate the matter.
