CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Liz Cheney is making a final campaign swing through Wyoming’s energy hub cities of Gillette and Casper.
Cheney ended her campaign the way she began it last winter, by appealing to voters hit by hard times in Wyoming’s fossil-fuels industries.
Her opponent, Democrat Ryan Greene, is campaigning in Riverton.
Cheney is heavily favored to win based on voter registration in Wyoming, where Republicans outnumber Democrats by well over 3 to 1.
Greene is an operations manager in his family’s Rock Springs oilfield services company. Cheney, of Wilson, is a former Fox News commentator who worked in the State Department when her father, Dick Cheney, was vice president.
Wyoming voters also will decide Tuesday whether to allow the state to invest potentially billions more in the stock market than currently allowed.
