COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (PAY’-lihn) is campaigning across Ohio for Donald Trump.

The GOP presidential nominee’s campaign said that the former vice presidential candidate was making five stops in southern and central Ohio Monday.

Palin’s schedule included stops in Cincinnati, the Dayton suburb of Kettering, Washington Court House in Fayette County and Zanesville and Powell,, which are northeast of Columbus.

Palin’s campaign swing came as Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton remained in a close contest for the swing state’s 18 electoral votes on Tuesday.

Clinton’s campaign said Palin’s visit would remind Ohioans that they “rejected Trump’s brand of fear-mongering and divisive politics” with Palin’s defeat eight years ago.

Ohio voters supported Democrat Barack Obama in 2008 over the Republican ticket of Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain and Palin.
