DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (AP) - Human remains found over the weekend show a Nebraska man who was pronounced dead after his severed arm and leg were found in a car had been shot in the head.
The Sioux City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2eg96Zq ) the additional remains were found Saturday in a creek about four miles from the farm house where the first body parts were found last week.
Authorities have charged 25-year-old Andres Surber and 18-year-old Misael Galvan-Hernandez with first-degree murder in the death of 41-year-old Kraig Kubik.
Authorities say Surber and Galvan-Hernandez went to Kubik’s trailer home Tuesday and demanded that he give them a car that once belonged to Surber. On Wednesday, investigators found a large amount of blood in Kubik’s yard.
Surber and Galvan-Hernandez were being held in lieu of $2.5 million bond.
