COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Seth Jones will be out at least three weeks with a hairline fracture on the top of his right foot.

The team said Monday that Jones was injured in Saturday night’s game at St. Louis and put on injured reserve. Coach John Tortorella called it a “huge loss.”

The 22-year-old Jones, Columbus’ No. 1 defenseman, leads the team in ice time and has three goals and three assists. He was part of the first defensive pairing with rookie Zach Werenski.

If Jones is out three weeks, he’ll likely miss 10 games.
