UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - A Maryland State Police trooper is in stable condition after being struck in her vehicle while responding to another accident.

State Police say Trooper Jasmine Ingram was responding to a single vehicle collision Saturday morning around 6:20 a.m. on the inner loop of I-495 in Prince George’s county when the crash occurred. State Police say she had pulled over and was in her vehicle when she was struck by the driver of a Toyota Corolla.

State Police say Ingram was taken to a hospital but was in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.

State Police say the crash is being investigated and charges are pending, but alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash.

The initial crash Ingram was responding to was investigated by other Maryland State Police troopers.
