MENOMONIE, Wis. (AP) - A memorial fund has been established in the name of a University of Wisconsin-Stout student from Saudi Arabia who was attacked and killed.

Police say 24-year-old Hussain Saeed Alnahdi was beaten about 2 a.m. Sunday in a downtown bar area where people were celebrating Halloween. He died of his injuries Monday. His assailant hasn’t been found.

Alnahdi was from Buraydah, Saudi Arabia, and was a junior majoring in business administration. The memorial fund in his name is being administered by the Stout University Foundation, a private fundraising group that supports the university.

Officials say how the donated money will be used will be worked out in cooperation with Alnahdi’s family and friends.
