Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are deadlocked in New Hampshire, according to several polls released as the candidates plan to blitz the state in the final days of the presidential race.
Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton were tied at 44 percent apiece in a UMass Lowell/7 News poll, with Libertarian Gary Johnson at 5 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 2 percent.
They were also tied at 42 percent apiece in a Suffolk University poll on New Hampshire released Thursday, and Mr. Trump held a scant 1-point lead in a recently-released WBUR poll on the state.
All three surveys were taken either partially or completely after FBI Director James B. Comey’s disclosure to Congress last week that the bureau learned of the existence of emails that appear to be relevant to its investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s private email set-up.
Forty-nine percent of respondents in the Suffolk poll said the revelations made them less likely to support Mrs. Clinton, compared to 45 percent who said the revelations were overblown and wouldn’t affect their vote.
Mr. Trump is scheduled to campaign in New Hampshire on Friday and Monday. Mrs. Clinton is scheduled to campaign there on Sunday, and President Obama is scheduled to campaign there on her behalf on Monday.
