CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A Cheyenne man with a long criminal background has been sentenced to three to five years in prison for kicking a police officer in the chest.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/2e8t4FF ) that Michael Flores was sentenced Thursday after previously being found guilty of interference with a peace officer causing injury, interference with a peace officer-resist and breach of the peace.

According to court documents, Flores was arrested April 9, 2015, after he kicked an officer in the chest as the officer was pushing him into the back seat of a patrol car after officers were investigating a disturbance. Surveillance footage from inside the car shows Flores trying to kick the officer more than once.
