CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - A Georgia man has been sentenced to 21 years in federal prison for a string of armed robberies in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Charlotte Observer (https://bit.ly/2gHsHjc ) reports that 27-year-old Alex Arnez Jones was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty in August to robbery and the use and carry of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
Court records show Jones robbed five businesses in Charlotte in November 2015. Some of the businesses included a Boost Mobile store, a Subway restaurant and Fuel Mart gas station. He was arrested in connection with the robberies later that month.
