NEENAH, Wis. (AP) - Police in at least two Wisconsin communities are investigating reported cases of children getting tampered candy while trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Two families in Neenah reported finding nails inside Tootsie Rolls. Police in Wisconsin Rapids are looking into a similar reported case.

Authorities recommend parents check their children’s Halloween candy before allowing the children to eat it.
