Football fans will soon get to experience different aspects of the National Football League through a virtual reality series launching Thanksgiving Day.

Youtube and Google’s Daydream are officially part of the NFL’s foray into VR entertainment. The first episode will focus on sideline preparation by members of the Philadelphia Eagles before branching out to other teams.

The league, which green-lighted the nine-part series after experimentation with the technology last year, has not released the series’ title. Producers are using Google’s GoPro-driven Jump virtual reality camera to capture footage, the technology website Engadget reported Thursday.

Owners of the NFL VR app for Google’s Daydream will have to show some patience, however, as content will not be accessible on the platform until “later this year.”

A press release by the NFL billed the 360-degree perspective series as a look at “life in and around the NFL — from players, to coaches, to executives, to cheerleaders, to the fans themselves — detailing how each prepares for game day.”

The NFL’s exclusive deal with Google means that fans will not be able to experience the show on Facebook’s Oculus Rift, Recode reported Thursday.
