TREMONTON, Utah (AP) - A Utah woman has been hospitalized after the minivan she was driving collided with a school bus carrying four special needs students who escaped uninjured in Box Elder County near the Idaho line.

The county sheriff’s office says the bus flipped onto its side but none of its occupants were injured in the crash in Tremonton at about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.

The sheriff’s office said in a statement the westbound minivan failed to yield to the northbound bus at the intersection of 11600 North and 4800 West about 20 miles northwest of Brigham City. An ambulance took the minivan’s driver to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The sheriff’s office says the bus driver, an adult aide and the four elementary age students on the bus all were wearing seatbelts.
