LOS ANGELES (AP) - Motorists are urged to use caution along the Interstate 5 corridor in northern Los Angeles County as strong winds whip through Southern California.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory through Tuesday afternoon for many valley and mountain areas, where gusts could top 50 mph.
High pressure building in the north will bring gusty north-to-northeast winds to portions of Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
Sustained winds between 20 and 35 mph are expected.
Daytime temperatures will top out in the mid-to-high-60s across greater Los Angeles.
