BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota’s Department of Emergency Services is getting $2.7 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to reimburse management costs related to widespread flooding in 2011.

President Barack Obama issued a disaster declaration following the flooding, paving the way for federal aid.

U.S. Sen. John Hoeven says that to date, FEMA has awarded more than $232 million in public assistance money in response to the flooding in the state five years ago.
