NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young has left a game Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans with an apparent right leg injury.
Young came up lame after trying to defend Tim Frazier’s fast-break layup in the first quarter. He hopped on his left leg to the scorers’ table and then went to the floor to await trainers.
He was eventually carried off the court toward the visitors’ locker room.
Young has started all 18 games in which he has played this season. He had averaged 14.1 points per game coming into Tuesday night.
The Lakers were already without guard D’Angelo Russell, who was missing his fifth straight game with left knee soreness.
However, forward Julius Randle was back in the lineup after missing three games with a hip pointer.
