LOS ANGELES (AP) - A homeless woman accused of spray-painting anti-Donald Trump slogans on Los Angeles County government buildings pleaded not guilty Monday to vandalism.

Victoria Bay, 37, entered pleas to four felony counts of vandalism causing over $400 in damage, City News Service reported.

She remained jailed and could face up to five years in jail if convicted.

Bay allegedly painted the messages - including some using obscenities - on Nov. 20 in downtown Los Angeles at the Hall of Justice, Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, Hall of Records and a heating and refrigeration plant.

The vandalism caused an estimated $9,000 in damage, authorities said.

Video captured some of the tagging and Bay was arrested two days later on the street.

The vandalism followed Trump’s presidential election victory. Trump’s derogatory and sometimes crude campaign comments about immigrants, Muslims and women and promises to deport millions of people sparked demonstrations around the country.

November protests in Los Angeles drew several thousand people and were mostly peaceful, although there were several dozen arrests of demonstrators, mostly for blocking traffic.
