TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Jaleel Wheeler scored 15 points and Tulsa pulled away down the stretch for a 79-65 win over crosstown rival Oral Roberts on Monday night.

The game was the 52nd meeting between the two Tulsa, Oklahoma schools. The Golden Hurricanes lead the overall series 33-19 and have won four straight.

Wheeler added nine rebounds and four assists, while Corey Henderson Jr. finished with 14 points and Pat Birt added 12 for Tulsa (3-2).

Albert Owens led all scorers with 18 points for Oral Roberts (1-5), but the Golden Eagles were held to just 36.9 percent shooting and 34.6 percent (8 of 14) from 3-point range.

Tulsa led just 39-36 at the half and 55-53 with 10:04 left but pulled away late. A Wheeler 3-point play sparked an 11-0 run and the Golden Hurricanes led 66-53 with 7:02 remaining. Wheeler’s layup pushed it to 15 and Oral Roberts never threatened again.
