ANALYSIS/OPINION:

For eight years after America elected her first black president, Americans were accused of being racist for pointing out President Obama’s insufferable arrogance.

He was being held to a higher standard than all the white buffoons who came before him, we were told. He is just Mr. Cool, and we don’t get it.

Well, watching President Obama come unglued in press conferences this week to “mansplain” his party’s humiliating losses in last week’s elections I guess makes racists out of all of us.

Even his fellow Democrats had to be horrified to watch the president they sacrificed so much for bob and weave to avoid a single shred of responsibility for the shambles he has made of his party.

For eight years, President Obama has been a political phenomenon with a truly magical touch. A magical touch he hoarded for himself alone — Democratic Party be damned.

He won re-election for himself. Democrats, meanwhile, fell on the sword of his stupid and dangerous policies and lost hundreds of races around the country. They lost control of the House and the Senate. And now they have lost the only beachhead of power they had left.

I used to wonder why on earth would Mr. Obama want to return the party he had wrested control of back to the Clinton Mafia. Why not hand the party over to his vice president and be heralded across the political spectrum for ridding America — once and for all — of the Clintons.

Perhaps it wasn’t enough for him to be America’s first black president. He also wanted to be America’s last Democratic president.

Elizabeth Warren? Chelsea Clinton? Keith Ellison? Seriously?

The president’s dissembling performances in two separate press conferences across the globe had to be particularly humiliating for Hillary Clinton, who gave the bravest and most honest speech of her political career when she graciously conceded defeat to President-elect Donald Trump last week.

Asked about the loss, President Obama snapped. His competitive instinct kicked in. He wanted everyone to remember that Donald Trump isn’t the first person to beat Hillary Clinton like a rented mule. The question was like someone had waved a red flag in front of a bull.

“I won Iowa not because the demographics dictated that I would win Iowa,” said Mr. Obama in his trademark humility and, as always, declining to invoke race at every turn of his tenure.

“It was because I spent 87 days going to every small town and fair and fish fry and VFW hall,” he said.

In other words, Hillary Clinton is old and lazy.

Oh, and politically not very smart.

“There were some counties where I might have lost, but maybe I lost by 20 points instead of 50 points,” he lectured. “There are some counties maybe I won that people didn’t expect, because people had a chance to see you and listen to you and get a sense of who you stood for and who you were fighting for.”

Again, the question was about last week’s devastating Democratic losses. His answer was all about his glory days beating the crap out of Hillary Clinton in Iowa during the 2008 primaries.

All of this is not to say that Mr. Obama is deserting the Democratic Party, just that loser Hillary Clinton.

“I believe that we have better ideas,” Mr. Obama said of his party, as it burns into a sunken ash heap. “But I also believe that good ideas don’t matter if people don’t hear them.”

In other words, you stupid Americans, you are not listening! Pay attention, you deplorable racists! He is only going to say this once, so listen carefully!
