CHICAGO (AP) - The Washington Wizards are holding star guards John Wall and Bradley Beal out of their game Saturday against the Chicago Bulls.
Wall is sitting out as expected after scoring 28 points in Friday’s loss to the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers. The All-Star guard is coming off surgery on each knee, and he isn’t playing in both halves of back-to-back sets at least for now. Coach Scott Brooks says that could change after the Wizards play Philadelphia and New York on Wednesday and Thursday.
Beal is missing his second straight game because of a sore right hamstring and is day to day.
With Wall and Beal out, Washington had rookies Tomas Satoransky and Sheldon McClellan starting in the backcourt against Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade.
