ARLINGTON, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a New Hampshire man with a loaded gun, rope and other items posed as an FBI agent and tried to convince a couple to let him into their Massachusetts home.

Twenty-three-year-old Gannon LeBlanc, of Nashua, New Hampshire, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Cambridge District Court to charges including impersonating a police officer.

Police say the Arlington couple told officers LeBlanc was wearing an FBI hat and told the couple he was looking for a wanted fugitive. They say LeBlanc then asked them if he could use their bathroom.

Police say a search of LeBlanc’s backpack found several items including notes with the names and addresses of four clients - including an MIT professor - at MIT Federal Credit Union, where LeBlanc works.

His attorney says LeBlanc wanted to use the restroom.
