President-elect Donald Trump said Friday the country will come together amid a second straight night of protests against his election, less than 12 hours after blaming the media for inciting “professional protesters” and calling the situation “very unfair!”

“Love the fact that the small groups of protesters last night have passion for our great country. We will all come together and be proud!” Mr. Trump tweeted Friday morning.

As protests broke out around the country for the second consecutive night after his victory, Mr. Trump had tweeted Thursday: “Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!”

In Portland, Oregon, police arrested 26 people and labeled the situation a “riot,” according to NBC News, as protests broke out in multiple other locations around the country as well.
