SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a woman was sexually assaulted in a portable toilet at San Jose State University and the suspect remains at large.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/2foqUi2) Thursday that the woman was using a portable toilet in a university parking lot when the suspect forced the door open and began to assault her.

Police say the attack occurred about 4 a.m. Monday.

The victim’s friends interrupted the attack and the suspect rode away on a bicycle.

University police were investigating that attack.

The university sent out a crime alert to students shortly after the assault.

San Jose State faced criticism in October for not immediately notifying the campus after a student athlete was accused of sexually assaulting two women at an off-campus party.
