Donald Trump’s deputy campaign manager on Tuesday said they’re on offense “everywhere” and that they’re competing strongly in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, which have gone to the Democrats in recent presidential elections.
“We’re in great shape. We’re on offense everywhere,” Trump deputy campaign manager David Bossie said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “There’s an enthusiasm gap for their voters.”
“Mr. Trump is having 10, 20,000 people show up at a rally,” Mr. Bossie said.
“We’re winning in Florida right now. We’re winning in North Carolina right now. We’re going to win Ohio and Iowa, and that’s the basis of our path to victory,” he said.
“We’re competing right now heavily in Pennsylvania, in New Hampshire, in Michigan, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Nevada,” Mr. Bossie said.
Mr. Trump has campaigned in recent days in New Mexico, Nevada and Michigan, and is scheduled to be in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin on Tuesday.
He also took a 1-point, 46 percent to 45 percent, lead in the latest ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll out Tuesday — erasing what been a double-digit lead for Hillary Clinton just about a week ago, before FBI Director James B. Comey informed Congress there could be new information about the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s private email set-up.
The survey was taken from Oct. 27-30, and Mr. Comey informed Congress of the news on Oct. 28.
