GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump took a shot at 2016 GOP rival Sen. Ted Cruz after Carly Fiorina, Mr. Cruz’s running mate, took a tumble at a recent rally, saying “even” he would have helped Mrs. Fiorina.

“By the way, she fell off the stage the other day, did anybody see that? And Cruz didn’t do anything. Even I would have helped her, OK?” Mr. Trump said at a recent rally in Indiana.

“That’s really cruel,” Mr. Trump said. “She just went down. She went down a long way, right? And she went down right in front of him, and he was talking, he kept talking. He didn’t even look like — that was a weird deal.”

Mr. Trump was referring to an incident that happened Sunday after Mrs. Fiorina was introducing Mr. Cruz and his family at a rally.

Mrs. Fiorina asked a crowd on Sunday to welcome “your next first family. Heidi Cruz, your next first lady, Caroline and Catherine and the next president of the United States, Ted Cruz.”

She then took a tumble from the stage, though Mr. Cruz was shaking hands and did not appear to see it happen. Mrs. Fiorina quickly re-joined him on the stage.
