Arnold Scwharzenegger will announce his presidential preference in his own ‘unusual’ way

Action star and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger had a lot to say about the virtues of political compromise and GOP principles Sunday, but the talk show circuit wasn’t a big enough stage for him to make a presidential endorsement.

Mr. Schwarzenegger, a Republican who ran the Golden State from 2003 to 2011, said he will let people know in due time if he wants to terminate Hillary Clinton’s Democratic bid and get to Donald Trump’s chopper.

“I will make an announcement before the election, you can be sure of that. But I will do it my way. Which is always an unusual way,” he told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

The Austria-born politician and movie star said he doesn’t pay much attention to parallels between his outsider campaigns for office and Mr. Trump’s ability to parlay a real estate and reality-TV career into the Republican presidential nomination.

Instead, he touted polling from the USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy that said nearly seven out of 10 people just want their politicians to work together.

“That is the most important thing. And they have to come to a compromise,” Mr. Schwarzenegger told NBC. “And in Washington, not much is getting done. Some of it is getting done, but not much.”
