A new poll finds that Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump are neck-and-neck in two key general-election states.
According to the CBS News Battleground Tracker poll released Sunday, Mrs. Clinton narrowly bests Mr. Trump in Florida, 43 to 42, which is within the survey’s margin of error.
Mrs. Clinton holds a slightly more comfortable lead over the billionaire businessman in Ohio, leading by a 44 to 39 margin.
The poll also found that Democratic presidential hopeful Bernard Sanders fares equally against Mr. Trump in Florida, at 44 percent apiece. But the Vermont senator is the resounding favorite in Ohio, where he holds a 48 to 39 advantage over Mr. Trump.
The survey was conducted online from May 16 to 19. The Florida results have a 4 percentage point margin of error, while the margin of error in Ohio is 3.7 percent.
