Donald Trump theorized Friday that Hillary Clinton is interested in carving out a position for her husband, former President Bill Clinton, if she is elected president because she wants to keep him on a short leash.

“Maybe she just wants him around the White House so she can keep her eye on him,” the presumptive GOP presidential nominee said on “Fox & Friends.”

Mrs. Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee, said this week that Mr. Clinton would be put in “charge of revitalizing the economy.”

Mr. Trump has made it clear that he will make Mr. Clinton’s womanizing a part of the 2016 general election race.

He has accused Mrs. Clinton of enabling her husband’s behavior and this week used the word “rape” to describe alleged sexual misconduct by the former president.

Mr. Trump also has taken come under fire over extramarital affairs.
