Looking for a last-minute boost the day before a make-or-break primary in Indiana, Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz launched a new TV ad Monday in the state to showcase support from Gov. Mike Pence.

The 30-second spot features Mr. Pence vouching for the Texas senator and calling him the heir to the “Reagan agenda.”

Mr. Cruz needs a big win in the Indiana primary Tuesday to keep hope alive that he can stop front-runner Donald Trump from locking up the nomination before the Republican National Convention in July.

“This is a time for choosing. All of America is looking to Indiana to make a choice,” the govern says in the ad, which began airing statewide Monday. “I’m a Reagan conservative. I see Ted Cruz as a principled conservative who’s dedicated his career to advocating the Reagan agenda.”

Mr. Pence continues: “I really admire the way Ted Cruz has been willing to stand up for taxpayers in opposing runaway spending, deficits, and debt and calling for and leading on repealing Obamacare. I will be voting for Ted Cruz.”

The new TV ad went up as Mr. Cruz, who was down in the polls just days before the voting, undertook an aggressive campaign push with 10 events scheduled across Indiana.
