Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence used promotional work for an upcoming movie to launch into a vulgar political attack against Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
Ms. Lawrence used her appearance Friday on “The Graham Norton Show” in the U.K. to discuss the time she sent her security detail to find the billionaire at a concert.
“I was at a concert where I heard he was attending, so I had my full security team, like I was like, ’Find Donald Trump,’” she said while promoting ’X-Men Apocalypse,’ which comes out in North America on May 27. “I was adamant on finding him and making a video of me going, ’Hey, Trump, f—- you!’”
The host, actor Johnny Depp, her “X-Men” costar James McAvoy and the audience all clapped as she held up her middle finger at the camera, The Huffington Post reported.
“I think he knew I was looking for him,” she added.
Ms. Lawrence, who won the Academy Award for best actress in 2012 for “Silver Linings Playbook,” is also known for her work as Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games” series and 2013’s “American Hustle.”
In an October interview with EW magazine, the actress predicted a Trump victory in the 2016 presidential election would bring about “the end of the world.”
