A massive explosion in Seattle leveled three buildings and left nine firefighters injured on Wednesday, NBC News reported.

The explosion occurred in Greenwood, a Seattle neighborhood, in the early morning hours. The Associated Press said it was a natural gas explosion, and several residents were evacuated.

At least 17 fire vehicles were at the scene, NBC News said.

“I saw three buildings that were all leveled,” Josh Koolbaugh, who lives a couple of hundred feet away, told NBC News. “There’s nothing but rubble and bricks and there was a fire in the middle of the rubble. … It’s like something out of a movie.”

The Seattle Fire Department tweeted that of the nine firefighters who were injured, one was a battalion chief, and there are 67 fire department personnel on the scene.

Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg told the AP all of the firefighters were treated for injuries ranging from burns to abrasions and most will probably be soon released.

While there is no word of anyone else being injured or missing, dogs are being used to go through the debris, said Corey Orvold, fire department spokeswoman, the AP reported.
