Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is up big on his 2016 GOP rivals in Michigan ahead of the state’s primary contest on Tuesday, according to new polling.
Mr. Trump was at 41 percent in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released Sunday, compared to Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas at 22 percent, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida at 17 percent, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich at 13 percent.
And Mr. Trump had a 15-point advantage over Mr. Cruz in a CBS News/YouGov poll out Sunday. The billionaire businessman was at 39 percent support, followed by Mr. Cruz at 24 percent, Mr. Rubio at 16 percent, and Mr. Kasich at 15 percent.
Among those who didn’t back Mr. Trump in the CBS poll, 43 percent said Republicans should do all they can to keep him from winning the nomination if he wins more primaries this month, while 37 percent said the GOP should rally behind him and try to win in November.
