Republicans seeking the White House are proof that the nation needs to invest more in mental health services, Sen. Bernard Sanders said Sunday night.

At a democratic presidential debate in Flint, Michigan, the Vermont senator cracked a joke at the expense of the GOP White House hopefuls and suggested they’re all mentally ill.

“When I’m elected president, we’re going to invest a lot of money into mental health and when you watch these Republican debates you know why we need to invest in mental health,” Mr. Sanders said at the forum.
