Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas issued a staunch defense of law enforcement at the 2016 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Friday and said Democrats refuse to say “all lives matter.”
“The Democratic Party is unwilling to say the words ’all lives matter,’” Mr. Cruz said at the conference in suburban Washington. “When did it become controversial to say every human being is a precious gift from God and we value” everybody?
The 2016 GOP presidential candidate said many there are many murders in New York City that have been prevented “by the brave men and women of the NYPD.”
“All lives matter, but let me tell you, blue lives matter,” he said to wild cheers.
