North Korea has ordered its nuclear weapons to be made ready for use without warning, according to a report in South Korea’s leading news agency.

Dictator Kim Jong-un also told the military Friday to prepare to carry out a pre-emptive strike, saying that the situation on the Korean peninsula had become very precarious, Yonhap News Agency reported.

The announcement came a day after North Korea had fired a half-dozen projectiles into the sea in response to a series of United Nations sanctions to punish the North for violating resolutions and deals on its missile and nuclear programs.
