Australian actor Hugh Jackman sprang into action when several swimmers got caught in a riptide at Sydney’s Bondi Beach.

The “X-Men” star was caught on camera Saturday helping the swimmers, including his teenage son Oscar and a man holding onto a young girl, CNN reported.

As a lifeguard responds, Mr. Jackman, 47, is seen waving at people in the water directing them where to swim for safety.

The North Bondi Surf Lifesaving Club said the rough waters resulted in multiple rescues that day.

“The beach had to be closed due to dangerous conditions, multiple rescues happening all at once and limited resources,” the club wrote in an Instagram post. “@thehughjackman was also spotted assisting with rescues! Thanks Hugh.”
