Bill Clinton was yanked from the campaign trail, with Hillary Clinton’s team citing bad weather for canceling his scheduled Wednesday appearance in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

OK, maybe.

It might also be because of the “awful” eight-year legacy comment he made about President Obama’s term Monday at an event in Spokane, Washington.

Hillary’s team — because she’s essentially running on preserving Barack Obama’s legacy — was quick to try to put the fire out.

Early Tuesday morning, Brian Fallon, Hillary’s press secretary, pushed back against reports saying Bill called Obama’s policies “awful,” insisting only rival Vermont Sen. Bernard Sanders’ campaign has attacked Obama’s legacy.

“Pres Clinton was calling GOP obstruction of Obama ’awful,’” Fallon tweeted Tuesday. “Sanders is only Dem in race who actually attacks @POTUS.”

Bill’s campaign stop for Hillary was scheduled to be held at 9:30 a.m. with doors opening at 8:45 a.m., according to an email from the campaign.

A late-season snowstorm is scheduled to hit Cheyenne, though the Weather Service has downgraded accumulation projections to between two and five inches through Wednesday morning, with snow tapering off before noon.

Cheyenne Public Works Director Vicki Nemecek told the Wyoming Tribune Eagle she “isn’t expecting any surprises for the city’s snowplow crews, who will be out in force once the snow starts sticking.”

“We’re in great shape now; the equipment is all working, and our (de-icer supply) shed is full,” Nemeck told the paper.
