Ohio Gov. John Kasich on Tuesday ruled out any sort of forthcoming alliance with GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

“There’s no way I would team up with Donald Trump,” Mr. Kasich said on “Fox and Friends.” “No way. Forget it.”

“I’m going to be the nominee, because we’re going to win Ohio, [and] we’re going to move across this country with a positive attitude of bringing people together with a record that I’ve had both in Washington and in Ohio, a positive record of bringing people together. … We’ll fix these things that haunt us and bother us today, I can promise you that,” Mr. Kasich said.

Mr. Kasich and Mr. Trump are locked in a tight battle for Ohio — one of five states where voters will cast crucial ballots in the presidential primary contest Tuesday. Voters also head to the polls in Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, and Missouri.
