Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton chalked up a victory Tuesday in the Ohio primary, putting her stinging loss last week in Michigan behind her and proving that she can win in the Midwest.
Mrs. Clinton was projected the winner in Ohio with 12 percent of the precincts reporting, topping rival Sen. Bernard Sanders 66 percent to 33 percent, according to a projection by the Associated Press.
Mrs. Clinton needed the Ohio win to take the momentum from Mr. Sanders, who trails in the delegate race but continues to hound the front-runner and raise questions about her ability to energize the Democratic base.
Mrs. Clinton also scored a decisive win in Florida and North Carolina.
Primaries held Tuesday in Illinois and Missouri were still too close to call.
