Amid the heated presidential primaries, D.C.’s own Georgetown and Indiana’s Butler, rivals in the Big East, are adding some levity to the proceedings by “pitting” their schools’ respective mascots together against cynicism.

Setting aside their “differences,” the two bulldogs, Butler’s Blue III and Georgetown’s Jack, are seen in a new video on a travelogue past some of the capital’s most iconic locations, including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, Capitol Hill and the White House.

The duo are dubbed the “Canine Party” ticket.

“America, you deserve better. You’re tired of the same old politics,” the narrator says at the start of the three-minute video. “It’s time to elect America’s best hope: man’s best friend.”

According to Fox News, Butler spokesman Michael Kaltenmark said the aim of the good-spirited video was to “just bring a little levity to the [sometimes] tumultuous” election season.

The two schools often make videos before they meet up in March Madness, according to Fox News. Butler made the tournament brackets but Georgetown did not.
