During a recent Fox News interview Hillary Clinton responded to a question concerning the classified emails for which she is currently under federal investigation by saying that the Department of State reviews material to decide whether it should be marked as classified. That may be true when talking about material generated by the department, but it doesn’t apply to material generated by other agencies but being shared with the department.

Some of the Clinton emails in question contain material generated and classified by other agencies where, in some cases, the collection method alone requires Top-Secret-and-above classifications. Unless the rules have changed, the Department of State does not have the authority to declassify any intelligence material that was generated and classified by the intelligence community (CIA, NSA, DIA, etc). This response is just another fine line between the truth and the same old Clinton

The question asked during the Fox News interview pertained to all of the emails, yet Mrs. Clinton’s answer pertained only to material generated by the Department of State. Again Mrs. Clinton wiggled out of a very serious question. Doesn’t anyone care about our national security anymore?
