OPINION:
Hillary Clinton knows that polls show many Americans question her integrity. Therefore it would behoove her to demonstrate transparency as much as she can in order to overcome negative perceptions.
She maintains that she will release the transcripts of her paid speeches to Wall-Street types as soon as everyone else running for president releases theirs. Sen. Bernie Sanders has already stated that he has not made any paid speeches. Why isn’t the media asking Sens. Rubio and Cruz and Gov. Kasich and Donald Trump if they have made paid speeches, and if so, to release the transcripts?
My guess is that the content of Mrs. Clinton’s speeches do not correlate with what she tells the public in her campaign appearances for the presidency. Regardless, someone has to go first in releasing the transcripts, so why not let it be Mrs. Clinton? This is her chance to regain trust and prove she is a true leader.
