A spokeswoman for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump denied media reports that Mr. Trump had cancelled another rally planned for Sunday in Ohio because of security concerns.
The Cincinnati Enquirer cited Eric Deters, a local spokesman for Mr. Trump’s campaign, as saying the GOP front-runner’s Secret Service security detail could not complete preparations in time to hold the event on Sunday at Cincinnati’s Duke Energy Convention Center.
“Trump wants to come here, and the campaign is still looking to find a location for either Sunday or Monday,” the Enquirer quoted Mr. Deters as saying.
But a spokeswoman for Mr. Trump, Hope Hicks, denied the claim that the even was cancelled.
“We don’t know Eric Deters. There has been no cancellation,” Ms. Hicks said in an email, according to Reuters.
Mr. Trump postponed a rally scheduled for Friday in Chicago due to safety concerns. He made the announcement after hundreds of supporters and protesters had already made their way to the arena at the University of Illinois Chicago.
