Strategic plans were in motion just hours after President Obama’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton’s campaign for president, announced on Thursday.
Mrs. Clinton’s campaign also announced that the pair would campaign together in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Wednesday. It will likely be the first of several joint appearances leading up to the Democratic National Convention, now seven weeks away.
“In Green Bay, President Obama and Clinton will discuss building on the progress we’ve made and their vision for an America that is stronger together,” Mrs. Clinton’s campaign said in a statement.
Mrs. Clinton also plans an appearance at a Planned Parenthood Action Fund event in the nation’s capital on Friday with a full agenda in place.
“The stakes are higher this year than in any other election in memory. Access to safe and legal abortion, insurance coverage of birth control, and access to care at Planned Parenthood health centers are on the ballot in 2016. Health care for an entire generation is at stake,” said Cecile Richards, president of the fund.
Mrs. Clinton also plans campaign stops in in Ohio on Monday and Pennsylvania on Tuesday, details to be announced.
